[Cutting Processing Example] EPDM (30°) Hollow Shape

A product that corresponds to the handle part of a machine! Soft EPT-type rubber is used for easy gripping.

We would like to introduce a case of machining "EPDM (30°) hollow shape" that we conducted. This product corresponds to the handle part of a machine and uses soft EPT-based rubber for ease of grip. The precision is approximately ±0.3. Additionally, we can perform similar machining with silicone rubber, fluorine rubber, NBR, and CR at 30°. 【Case Overview】 ■ Name: EPDM (30°) hollow shape machined product ■ Material: EPT (EPDM) based rubber 30° ■ Dimensions: φ14mm × φ7mm, Height 30mm (Tip R7) ■ Precision: Approximately ±0.3 ■ Features: Machining of soft rubber *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Cutting Processing Example] Frame Processing Made of Silicone Rubber

Just shaping the form requires advanced technology! Achieving a machining accuracy of ±0.05 with soft materials.

We would like to introduce a machining example using "rubber," which falls under the category of soft materials, in cutting processing. The frame was machined from sheet material made of silicone rubber (hardness 70), and the stepped areas were further processed with R machining. Additionally, it was machined using end mills and ball end mills, achieving a machining accuracy of ±0.05. 【Case Overview】 ■ Name: Frame machining made of silicone rubber ■ Material: Silicone rubber (hardness 70) ■ Dimensions: 12×69.3×122.9 ■ Accuracy: ±0.05 ■ Features: Achieves cutting processing accuracy of ±0.05 with a soft material *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Cutting Processing Example] Chloroprene Rubber (CR) <Deburring Long Hole>

Eliminating burrs through special cutting tools and processing techniques, achieving high precision even for rubber cutting products.

We would like to introduce a case of machining "Chloroprene Rubber (CR)" that we conducted. This is a rubber bush used for vibration damping and insulation in motors, where a long hole measuring 0.8mm x 13mm and 4mm deep was machined in the center of a Chloroprene Rubber (CR) part with a hardness of 60 degrees. This area is prone to burr formation, but through the use of special cutting tools and machining techniques, we have eliminated burrs and achieved high precision as a rubber machined product. [Case Overview] ■ Name: Burr-free Long Hole Machining of Chloroprene Rubber (CR) ■ Material: Chloroprene Rubber (CR) hardness 60 degrees ■ Dimensions: 4 x 13 x 21 ■ Precision: ±0.2 ■ Features: Long hole machining of 0.8mm x 13mm and 4mm deep *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] High-Precision Cutting Processing

This is a case where the hole is not drilled straight, leaving burrs in the hole, making it unusable.

We received a consultation from a customer who had various manufacturers create prototypes, but the holes were not drilled straight, and there were burrs left in the holes, making them unusable. We received feedback stating, "The hole precision was high, and there were no burrs. The delivery time of one week is surprising." Typically, rubber products in such cases are produced using molds. However, for small quantities or during the prototype stage, the cost of expensive molds cannot be amortized. In the case of machining, the cutting tolerance usually results in a finish of ±0.2, and the production lead time is short, allowing for single-item production. Designers often want to use rubber at the design stage, but since rubber products require molds, they design without using rubber. However, there are cases where machining allows for precision, thus expanding the scope of development. [Case Overview] ■ Material: Fluoro rubber t4×17×12 13-φ0.4 *For more details, please refer to the external link page or feel free to contact us.
